Anybody who knows me knows that I don't typically indulge in celebrity gossip. There are enough blogs that do just that, but lately there's one particular celebrity that has been getting on my nerves. That celebrity is none other than Miss Ride-it herself, Ciara. That nasty song itself was the start to my issues with the direction of Ciara's career. Her goal is to make a musical comeback and sell records yet it seems like the only items that she's putting up for sale are the "goodies" that she once told us were unattainable. The video for "Ride" was banned by BET, Ciara hasn't hat a hit record since I can remember and this new album is set to be released next month. I predict a flop for the simple fact that women make of the majority of consumers that purchase R&B records and any woman that wants to drive her car singing "He loves the way I riiiiide it..." is a hot mess. No offense if you are seriously feeling that song. Riding the beat like a freak is fine, but it's not something I choose to do. Enough of that ridiculous song, my latest upset stems from Ciara's choice of wardrobe at Lala and Carmelo Anthony's wedding this past weekend. This fool had on a short, tight mini dress showing off ALL of her legs. Everybody knows that Ciara has an amazing body and I applaud that, but at a wedding though? Seriously, she is outta her mind for that one. If I was Lala, Ciara would have been politely escorted to the nearest exit for wearing a freak'um dress to come witness my holy matrimony. I hope and pray that she only wore this dress to enter the building and was actually IN the wedding and changed into something more modest for the ceremony. I find her dress extremely disrespectful to the bride and anyone who doesn't agree with me is crazy. I am in no way a "hater" nor am I a Ciara fan, but I hope that her team comes up with something other than sex appeal to make her music career one that can be deemed successful. Let me know your thoughts. Do you think Ciara going to be a success with the release of her next album? Was her dress (pictured below)appropriate for a wedding?

Not really a huge fan of CiCi but her album sales haven't been too good. I doubt if the one she is about to drop (?) will do any good since the only "new" song i've heard frm her was Ride. Sex sales and I suppose that's where her team has taking her....

DeleteCiara was never a favorite of mine but she did have a few good songs. Now it just seems like she's being sloppy. I mean sex sells but that video was just a mess! And it wasn't a hot mess, it was a sloppy mess. The pic of her going to the wedding? well, she's never had much of a fashion sense so I don't expect much from her.

DeleteShe's the princess of the A. Have you her her Mix-tape she did "Pretty Girl Swagg" of that Soulja Boy song. Its kinda like what she said she's been gone wearing heels or something like that but she's still the Princess A of the A, she has to get back to the dirty dirty. Her image consultants are really trying push the sex image thing too far.

DeleteI think Ciara is beautiful and talented...the ride video made me want to up my game a bit, im not gonna lie. But I think her body is all she has. I think sex is all people have left when the are not making music as well as they did. She is talented and her dance skills are amazing. I think she is losing herself a bit. That dress at that wedding was ... not appropriate. But ever since her break up with bow wow it seems like shes trying to prove something

@ MisSerious (Melinda) - lol... I take it you won't be buying the album. Her shoes are usually cute though. I just wish she wouldn't be so skimpy because young kids looks up to her and they're the ones listening to her wack music.
@ Blazers & Heels - I heard that remake of the song.. It's ok. Her vocal ability isn't wayyy great though. She is, however, attempting to be less "Hollywood" now though. That shows...
@Moya2bean- You're right... Her body and dancing are the only parts worth paying attn to these days. You took it all the way back to Bow Wow.. Dang, I forgot about their relationship.

Couldn't agree more with your comments on Ciera's new "Imma Freak" demeanor. I thought the video was embarrassing. I had too many "OMG" moments during her video. It wasn't even sexy to me. No homo. It looked like she was trying too hard to be something she's not. I wish her management would add me to the team. And then that lace front and gum! AWFUL!
